Texas Tech University
Andrew
John Liccardo received his BA from Loyola University of Chicago and his
M.F.A. from Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, Texas. He currently
teaches photography part time at Texas Tech. He is also employed at
the Southwest Collection/Special Collections Library, the university’s
historical archive, where he works on projects associated with the
Collections extensive photograph holdings.Andrew’s
current photographic work examines the cultural and geographic landscape
with a specific focus on how the built environment can act as a barometer
of our cultural evolution. He understands landscape in broad terms,
as a uniquely human construct and seeks to understand it as a dynamic
system that both absorbs and reflects us. He is currently involved
in a documentary project called the Millennial Collection. The project
explores the idea of time and place and questions the nature of documents.
The project is ongoing and being collected by the Southwest Collection. |
