Charles Wiese

Charles Wiese completed his first degree, a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, in 1978. His professional career encompassed a wide range of experiences: research science, design, systems engineering, requirements, and management.

Charles completed his MFA in photography from the University of Houston in 1994. His focus is on digital media and critical theory. His work is in the permanent collections of the MFA/Houston and the Salt Lake Art Center. He has self-published one book Deportment and is currently working on his second, The Fully Abridged Dictionary of the English Language. One of his images, The Iron Lung, will be the cover of the 1994 Summer/Fall issue of the literary journal, Plowshares Magazine.
