Ethan Jackson
University of Colorado
Ethan Jackson is from New Hampshire. He studied art at Williams College
and received his MFA in Photography at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
His work involves imagining and its processes, an empirical epistemology
of visual information. Lurking in the historical wings are the possibilities
of transcendence and revelation, which having been driven to the margins
by recent history, can at best leak out through the cracks in our representational
systems. He is interested in various forms of visual imagining (but refuses
to use the term imaging), from drawing and painting to video and electronic
media. Oddly enough, his labors result in large-format black and white photographs. |
