Kelly  McFadden

Kelly completed his B.F.A. at the University of Oklahoma and his M.F.A. at SUNY Buffalo.  He is currently teaching digital photography workshops at Villa Maria College in Buffalo.  Kelly attributes his participation in the seminar to his inclusion in the Interactive Show at Thread Waxing Space  in New York City and the Digital Photography/ Interactive Multimedia show in Santa Rosa. His digital-based work invites us to an intercerebral slamdance, where logical connections collide, but are never completed.  The cryptic, industrial-strength barrage of words and images that characterize his artwork are often around important socio-political issues, but not necessarily about them.  He prefers to provoke rather than lecture, intentionally mimicking the seconds-long news bytes we rely on for our information.
